The Long List for the 2012 National Bestseller Prize

The Long List for the 2012 National Bestseller Prize A long list has been announced for this year’s first Russian Literary Prize. Comprising of 42 entries, it includes Victor Pelevin's novel S.N.U.F.F., Information by Roman Senchin, Jungle by Yuri Buida, White Raven by Pavel Krusanov, The Living by Anna Starobinets, and some mysterious author with the pen-name of Ghoul Wild with a manuscript entitled Revive Russia! Also included in the list are Istemi and Majong by the Ukranian author Alexei Nikitin, both published last year by Ad Marginem Publisher. 

The short list will be announced on the 12th April in Moscow after the Grand Jury, comprising of critics, poets, writers and journalists, has adjudicated the texts and the winner will be honou red at the traditional final ceremony at the "Astoria" Hotel in St. Petersburg on the 5th June.
