Rossica Prize 2012 - Long list announced
March 26, 2012The long list has been announced for the Rossica Prize 2012 for the best translated work by a Russian. This year attracted 37 entries for the prize and includes translations of Russian classics (Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Leskov, Lev Tolstoy, Feodor Dostoevsky) and authors of the 20th and 21st Centuries including Mikhail Bulgakov, Vasili Grossman, Dmitri Bunin, Andrei Kurkov.
The short list will be finalised in April and made public during the London Book Fair (16-18 April).
The judges for this year's prize are Professor Pamela Davidson, Professor Barbara Heldt and Dr Philip Bullock. (Source: Academia Rossica)
