Elena Chernikova
Elena Chernikova was born on the 30th of April, 1960 in Voronezh, Russia. After graduation in 1982 from the Literary Institute, she started her career as a radio journalist and went on to become a journalist for the printed press and TV.
Equally versed in fiction and non-fiction, Chernikova is an author of three handbooks on journalism, a collection of essays Love Stories and novels including The Golden Ass, which sold around a half million copies.
Chernikova is included in the "Women of Moscow" biographic catalogues and also in "Moscow celebrities" (2006). She is a member of the Union of Journalists, the Authors Guild of the Russian Federation, a corresponding member of the Academy of Russian Literature, laureate of the All-Russian award "Crystal Rose of Victor Rosov" (2006).
